Job Description:

UF Information Technology (UFIT) is currently seeking an entry level End User 1 Computing Specialist to join Academic Technology, Technology Support Services a unit within UFIT.

Employment with UFIT provides an excellent opportunity to work with other employees dedicated and focused on understanding and interpreting the technological needs of the University of Florida’s innovative and inspirational community.

The primary responsibilities are:

• Assist end users with getting set up on supported equipment and software and with resolving software issues pertaining to supported software.
• Familiarize end-users with how to use the equipment and software.
• Install and move computers, printers and other end user technology devices, including installing designated system images and application software
• Troubleshoot and resolve entry-level problems and provides entry-level maintenance for computers, printers, and other end user technology devices.

Expected Salary:

$16.19 – $16.50; commensurate based on education and experience. In addition, the University of Florida offers a very competitive benefits package.

Minimum Requirements:

Associate's degree; or a high school diploma and two years of appropriate experience.

• End user technical support procedures
• Problem solutions
• To be successful in this position, the incumbent must:
• Knowledge of Apple Mac OS
• Android/iPhone knowledge
• Windows 7/10
• Microsoft Office Suite
• AD and GPOs understanding
• Microsoft Exchange
• Powershell
