Overview
Employment Status: Full-time, At-Will, "Exempt" position, included in the Management Personnel Plan (MPP).
Work Schedule: Generally, Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5 pm (some evenings and weekends required).

Typical Activities
Job Summary:
The Associate Dean reports to and works closely with the Dean of the College of Arts & Letters to carry out a smooth, efficient, and effective college operation. The Associate Dean provides leadership and oversight for enrollment management, program quality, academic scheduling, facilities planning and management, and university relations. The Associate Dean supervises the College IT staff members and the Professional Advisors, and plays an important role to help ensure compliance with policies and procedures, coordination and implementation of initiatives to meet the mission and values of the College and University, assists with confidential issues that arise, and serves in the Dean's capacity in the absence of the Dean.

Minimum Qualifications
Education and Experience:
- A terminal degree in one of the disciplines in the College.
- Ph.D. preferred and at least two (2) years of administrative experience as a department chair or equivalent position.
- Experience with academic advising, curriculum, assessment, implementation of the strategic plan, initiatives for the success of faculty and student, and management in complex organizations.
- Experience with curriculum assessment.
- Experience as a Tenured Full Professor is preferred.
