Environmental Studies and Sciences

JOB SUMMARY:

The Environmental Studies and Sciences program at Adelphi University invites applications for a part time faculty member beginning January 2021. We seek applicants who have completed, or are currently working toward, a Ph.D. in geology, earth sciences, or a related field, with demonstrated teaching and research experience in historical geology, paleontology, or sedimentary geology.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  1. The candidate will teach a lecture and lab section of Historical Geology
  2. The candidate may also teach a graduate level course called Sediments: An Environmental Archive.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  1. Applicants should have demonstrated teaching expertise in historical geology, paleontology, or sedimentary geology.
  2. A Ph.D. in geology, earth science, or relevant field is preferred, but not required.
  3. A minimum of Master's degree is required at the time of appointment.
