The Department of Biology at Trinity College invites applications for a full-time, non-tenure track position as Lecturer/Lab Coordinator beginning in August 2021.  This position begins on a 2-year, long-term, renewable contract.  We seek a broadly trained biologist with either a M.S. or Ph.D., and a strong interest in undergraduate biology education.  This member of the department will teach 2-4 introductory laboratory sections each semester and work with the senior lab coordinator to administer the labs.  This includes organizing and preparing laboratory materials and activities, and collaborating in lab curriculum development.  Depending on the needs of the department, there will be opportunities to offer non-majors courses in biology and to participate in the introductory biology lecture sections.  The department is especially interested in candidates who, through their teaching, advising, and service, will contribute to the diversity and inclusive nature of our academic community.  Candidates with a demonstrated ability to incorporate diverse perspectives into undergraduate teaching and mentorship are preferred.

Review of applications will begin February 22, 2021 and will continue until the position is filled.  Applications should include a cover letter, a statement of teaching in which issues of diversity and inclusion are addressed, curriculum vitae, copies of undergraduate and graduate transcripts, and three letters of professional recommendation submitted directly from recommenders.
