The Department of Mathematical Sciences in the Charles V. Schaefer, Jr. School of Engineering and Science at Stevens Institute of Technology (Stevens) invites applications for a Teaching Assistant/Associate Professor position starting on August 16, 2021. Stevens offers an intellectually vibrant, diverse, highly interdisciplinary, collaborative, and innovative community, and is a great place to work.
Applicants should have earned a Ph.D. degree in Mathematics or
Statistics and a demonstrated interest and commitment to excellence
in both graduate and undergraduate education and
mentoring. The department is looking to welcome colleagues
with expertise in the areas of Probability, Statistics and
Stochastic Analysis and related fields who will support its
graduate degree programs
The Department of Mathematical Sciences is an internationally
recognized center of excellence for research and education in
contemporary mathematical sciences with a Ph.D. program in pure and
applied mathematics, and master's degree programs in mathematics,
applied mathematics, and in actuarial mathematics and quantitative
risk. The department is hosting a cross-disciplinary program in
data science offered in collaboration with other departments of the
Schaefer School of Engineering and Science and with the School of
Business.
Stevens is a private university located in Hoboken, New Jersey. The
55-acre campus is on the Hudson River across from midtown Manhattan
within a few minutes from NYC via public transportation. Stevens'
exciting location offers unlimited opportunities for collaboration
with nearby universities, Brookhaven National Laboratory, and major
corporate research laboratories. The Institute offers excellent

research with well-established programs in engineering and science,
