Limestone University Master of Social Work Program (MSW) is hiring an Assistant/ Associate Professor. This position is considered a full-time faculty position with competitive salary and benefits.

Position Overview:

Limestone University Master of Social Work Program (MSW) Assistant Professor position is considered a full-time faculty position. This faculty member is required to attend the weekly MSW Social Work Faculty/Staff meetings. These meetings have formal meeting minutes and set agendas for each meeting and are essential to the development of the program. Daily responsibilities include but are not limited to: Teaching assigned MSW Social Work courses, student evaluation, carrying a standard advising load, assisting with SASC and CSWE accreditation responsibilities, assisting with marketing Limestone University and the MSW Social Work program in all designated service areas. Much of the position’s responsibilities require working with other MSW faculty and Limestone University personnel. Professional adherence to the NASW Code of Ethics is always expected.

All graduate faculty working for the program are required to keep office hours that allow them to meet with and advise students at times most in conjunction with student needs. Faculty are required to attend all relevant training programs for Limestone University personnel, (such as LMS training, safety training, student evaluation training etc.). Formal Limestone University functions such as faculty orientation, faculty meetings, graduation etc., are required. Graduate faculty are included in all the programs general functions and communications. Each faculty member is evaluated by the Associate Dean/Director of Social Work Development at the end of each contract year. Faculty are ranked according to overall productivity at all levels including quality of teaching, quality of advising, marketing, availability to students, and program participation. 

Position Requirements/Qualifications:

Only those possessing a Master(s) Degree in Social Work and a PhD in Social Work or a closely related field are eligible to apply. An LMSW and/or LISW is preferred. Preference will be given to individuals with five or more years of college/university teaching, marketing, advising and experience in Social Work Field Education.
