The Department of Sociology at Columbia University invites applications for a distinguished scholar at any rank, from tenure-track assistant professor through full professor with tenure, to fill a position as part of the University’s initiative in the area of race and racism. Candidates may be working in any subfield but their research should focus on race, racism, or racial inequality. Candidates will be expected to sustain an active research and publication agenda and teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Sociology.
Ph.D. and record of excellence in scholarship and teaching. Candidates for a position with tenure should be widely recognized for their distinction and professional accomplishment.
