Lecturer - School of Accountancy (2 Positions, F0048A, F0210A)
We seek two great teachers who have a strong commitment to interacting with the local accounting profession to join Old Dominion University’s Accounting Faculty starting in the Fall 2021 semester. Rank will be at the tenure-ineligible Lecturer level.
These positions involve teaching undergraduate and graduate level accounting courses in both traditional and online formats. At a minimum, a successful candidate must have either: (1) a Master’s Degree in a business subject, with 18 hours of accounting credit, and hold a professional license or licenses; or (2) a Master’s Degree in Accounting, Accountancy or equivalent. Additionally, a successful candidate must have significant current professional accounting experience. Preference will be given to those candidates who:
- Possess a valid CPA License but other professional certifications (CIA, CMA, CFE, CISA, etc.) will also be taken into account
- Demonstrate a sustained relevance in professional service and engagement
