JOB TITLE SUMMARY

Job Title: Specialist, Admissions Support

Division: Enrollment Management and Student Engagement (DEMSE)

Evaluation Group: Staff

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Starting Salary: $19.11 per hour

Reports To: Workday Specialist, Enrollment Management

Job Summary

The admissions support specialist is responsible for assisting with the daily processing of student data, ensuring accuracy of data entry and promoting data integrity throughout Enrollment Management and Student Engagement.

Essential Job Functions and Performance Indicators

The intent of this job description is to provide a representation of the types of duties and level of responsibility that will be required of positions given this title. Job Responsibilities and Execution

  • Assists with daily processing of student data; prints and mails admission documents; and scans and files electronic copies
  • Utilizes integration to import and export data for admission purposes; maintains match and merge process for duplicate students
  • Works with the Business Office to process and log application fees and enrollment deposits
  • Enters data into the CAMS database and Slate and u tilizes Slate reports to address data discrepancies
  • Maintains office filing system, supplies and Admissions marketing materials
  • Analyzes each customer’s needs, following through accordingly with necessary solutions, forms or referral(s) to the appropriate department
  • Manages undergraduate student employees
  • Maintains general knowledge of college activities, programs and requirements
  • Follows standard operating procedures to ensure accuracy and consistency

  • Assists with customer service
  • Supports the mission of the university and serves as an ambassador of the Q2 culture of service excellence
  • Models, supports and holds others accountable to the university’s values – integrity, dedication, excellence, creativity and teamwork


Communication, Teamwork and Collaboration

  • Assists with special projects as assigned
  • Assists with employee training
  • Serves as liaison for other offices regarding admission questions


Job may require other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications – An equivalent combination of education, training and experience will be considered. Additional requirements may be designated by position.

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum of 3 years’ work experience in data entry and/or higher education preferred

Work Environment – Environmental or atmospheric conditions commonly associated with the performance of this job’s functions.

  • General office setting
  • Evening and weekend hours may be required for Admissions events
