Position: Full-Time Lecturer in the School of Nursing (Psychiatric/Mental Health)

Effective Date: January 21, 2020 (Spring Semester) thru May 28, 2021 (Spring Semester)

Salary Range: Commensurate with qualifications and experience

Required Qualifications:
  • M.A./M.S. in Nursing with clinical specialization in Psychiatric/Mental Health nursing
  • Demonstrated potential for teaching excellence both in classroom and clinical settings
  • Eligibility for licensure as a registered nurse in California and certification as a nurse practitioner or clinical nurse specialist, or as appropriate for the clinical area
  • Demonstrated commitment to working successfully with a diverse student population

    Preferred Qualifications:
  • DNP or Ph.D. in Nursing or in a related discipline
  • Current experience in clinical psychiatric/mental health specialty either as a Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) or Psychiatric/Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)
  • Teaching experience demonstrating excellence at the college level
  • Demonstrate excellence in counseling students at risk for academic challenges
