Job Description:

Job Summary

The Department of Athletics is seeking an Offensive Coordinator / Assistant Football Coach who possess the expertise and organizational skills needed to work with all aspects of a successful NCAA DIII Athletics program. This is a full-time, 12-month position that reports to the Head Football Coach. The Offensive Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the offensive unit of the team, including practice and game planning, overall management, and coordination of assistant coaches in each offensive position. Additional responsibilities include assisting the head coach in all facets of the program to develop a competitive NCAA Division III Football program within the ECFC on the field, in the classroom, and in the community. The Offensive Coordinator will monitor the academic progress of student athletes, work on and off campus to recruit quality student athletes, assist with strength and conditioning, provide general counseling to athletes, and assist the Head Coach in fundraising and other related special projects. Additional duties may be assigned.

Job Duties

  • Plan, organize and conduct all practices for the offensive unit, including daily on-field coaching and management of all practice sessions and games;
  • Organize game preparation, including film breakdown; develop game plans and scouting reports related to the offensive unit for each contest;
  • Develop an annual offensive playbook and teaching progression;
  • Schedule and manage film sessions and meetings for all offensive positions;
  • Demonstrate leadership, sportsmanship, and conduct becoming of the coaching profession adhering to all college and professional sport association guidelines;
  • Monitor and support the academic progress of assigned team members;
  • Recruit qualified students with the ability, character, and drive to succeed as NCAA Division III, ECFC and Dean College student athletes;
  • Responsible for the men's equipment facility during the fall semester;
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree required; Master's preferred.
  • Must have a minimum of 3-years of relevant coaching and recruiting experience at the collegiate level.
  • Self-motivated leader with strong communication skills.
  • Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with employees, coaching staff, student athletes, vendors, and alumni.
