Tenure-Track Assistant Professor in Psychology

 

 

St. Bonaventure University seeks applicants for a tenure-track assistant professor position in the Department with an emphasis in Developmental Psychology, appointments beginning in August 2021.

 

Candidates are expected to have expertise and prior teaching experience that will fill our department needs. In addition to being able to teach at least two of the core developmental psychology classes (i.e., child, adolescent, adult development and aging, and lifespan development) we seek coverage of introductory psychology and multicultural or cross-cultural psychology. Candidates are expected to add to our curriculum by developing courses in their area of expertise. The successful candidate will be committed to teaching in a liberal arts and sciences environment and to developing a behavioral research program with undergraduate collaborators. ABDs are welcome to apply; however, applicants should have completed their doctorate or expect completion by August 2021.

 

About the University: St. Bonaventure is a private liberal-arts university located in southwestern New York State. The Department of Psychology has approximately 125 undergraduate majors and an active faculty dedicated to advancing psychology as a behavioral science. St. Bonaventure also houses several professional schools: School of Health Professions, School of Education, School of Business, and the Jandoli School of Communication. Located in the heart of the Enchanted Mountains, St. Bonaventure University is a short drive away from a number of recreational and cultural activities including the Seneca-Iroquois National Museum, Allegany State Park, Amish Trail, Rock City Park, and Holiday Valley Resort.
