Position Summary:

This position is based at the UW School of Veterinary Medicine and provides specialized technical support to the daily operational needs UW Wildlife Medicine Program.

Applicants are expected to have a strong interest in exotic animals and/or wildlife medicine and prior experience with exotic animals and/or wildlife is strongly preferred. The position requires initiative to independently follow through with technical responsibilities.

Degree and Area of Specialization:

Associate of Applied Science in Veterinary Technology

Minimum Years and Type of Relevant Work Experience:

Highly qualified candidates will have the following: a minimum of 3 years' experience working as a Veterinary Technician with exotic animals and wildlife.

License or Certificate:

Certification as Wisconsin Veterinary Technician

Additional Information:

Requires the ability to lift a minimum of 50lbs.
