Position Summary:

The Clinical Trials Data and Administrative Coordinator will join the Clinical Research Central Office (CRCO) at the University of Wisconsin Carbone Cancer Center (UWCCC) to work on cancer clinical research within the Precision Medicine Research Team. Under the direction of a Clinical Research Manager, the Data and Administrative Coordinator will be responsible for accurate and timely clinical trial data entry and reporting, which is a critical component of research study conduct and outcomes. To be successful, the incumbent must maintain knowledge of active research protocols and Electronic Data Capture (EDC) systems; successfully abstract and interpret protocol-specific data from patient medical records; apply clinical research principles and study-specific guidelines to the work performed; and exhibit great attention to detail to ensure data is entered accurately per outlined requirements. Excellent communication skills are required to interface with investigators, research team members and sponsor representatives.

Degree and Area of Specialization:

Bachelor's degree is required; preferred focus in biological or health sciences, health care, business or related field.

Minimum Years and Type of Relevant Work Experience:

-Experience in clinical research preferred
-Medical terminology proficiency and/or experience in a clinical setting preferred

Additional Information:

The UWCCC is comprised of multiple Disease-Oriented Teams, each with a primary focus (e.g., Palliative Care, Breast Cancer, Lung Cancer, Phase I clinical trials). The specific DOT(s) applicable to this posting will be discussed during the interview process.
