About the Opportunity:
The Student Employment Operations Administrator will assist with the administrative operation of the Office of Student Employment, Graduate Assistantships & Fellowships (SEGAF). The Operations Administrator will be responsible for the semi-monthly and weekly payroll operations, hiring operations and customer service operations. Train and implement trainings for supervisors and student employees. Assist with the training of all office staff regarding financial aid regulations, payroll policies and procedures along with the use of the SEGAF systems. Assist with monitoring all Federal Work-Study earnings for compliance with federal regulations, MA state regulations and budgetary limits.

We are looking for a focused and detail oriented professional who is experienced in cross communication with multiple demographics of clients. Flexible and enjoy the administrative challenges of supporting an office of diverse people.

Responsibilities:
Primarily responsible for the Job Location and Development (JLD) federal program, including tracking of hires and earnings for the federal reporting process. Conduct site visits to ensure compliance with all employment regulations. They will serve as the primary point of contact for office operation and budget management. This position is responsible for maintaining office communication, streamlining administrative procedures, campus involvement initiatives and operation effectiveness assessments.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree required; Minimum of four years' experience in an office environment, preferably in an academic environment. 2 - 3 years of experience with student employment and payroll processing in a higher education setting. Understanding of general finance and budgeting preferred. Ability to build consensus and relationships among managers, partners and students. The successful candidate must demonstrate maturity, tact, and the ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality. Must demonstrate willingness to assist others with a broad range of tasks. A positive mental attitude and a sense of humor under pressure are critical.

A creative thinker who keeps in mind the mission and customer service experience of the office is preferred. Qualified candidates will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong time management skills, and a customer service focus. Integrative personality and well-developed interpersonal and public speaking skills preferred. Higher Education experience; understanding of campus climate a plus.

This is a high volume office that requires an individual with strong attention to detail and follow-through. Must be able to manage deadlines, to work independently and to function as a solid team member. Should be comfortable taking initiative, but also knows when to ask for help.

Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite and a high level of comfort working with technology are required. Familiarity with Outlook, Excel, PowerFAIDS, Adobe Acrobat, JobX, TimeSheetX, Concur, Salesforce, Fragomen (I-9 processing system) and/or Banner systems a plus. Understanding of training platforms capabilities that conjoin in-person, online or video training and tracking preferred.
