Position Summary
Bay de Noc Community College is seeking qualified applicants to begin teaching Nursing clinics in the Marquette, MI area.

The faculty member will be responsible for the instruction of practical and associate degree nursing students in clinical, lab, and simulation settings fro medical-surgical nursing in the practical nursing and associate degree nursing programs.
In addition the adjunct faculty member has various responsibilities related to professional development, collaborative curriculum development, student success; as well as activities that support the College and nursing division's operational success.

Minimum Qualifications:
- The successful candidate must have a minimum of a Bachelor's of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree.
- Current Michigan Registered Nursing Licensure or eligibility for Michigan Licensure.
- Commitment to the community college mission and philosophy.
- Equivalent of five years' experience as a registered nurse with strong clinical competency in medical-surgical nursing.
- Ability to assist nursing students in clinic with the delivery of patient care.
- Commitment to quality instruction in a learner-centered environment with the goal of consistently improving student success.
- Knowledgeable about Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN).
- Demonstrated skill in effective written and oral communications
- Demonstrated literacy in information technology and computer use

Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Nursing.
- Clinical competency in two areas of nursing
- Experience in teaching courses at the postsecondary level.
- Experience with active and collaborative learning strategies.
- Post-secondary teaching experience in didactic, clinical, simulation, lab, and online courses.
- Eligible for dual licensure with state of Wisconsin, pending clinical placement.
- Experience functioning effectively in a variety of health care environments.
- Flexibility and creativity in relationship to changing trends in health care.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Instruct Nursing courses Bay College, which may be, but not limited to clinic, lab, and simulation.
- Accept accountability for supporting student learning through quality instruction in all nursing courses: upon which the Dean, Division char and faculty members agree.
- Facilitate student learning through the following activities:
a. Develop collaborative course syllabi that share with students the expectations, standards, policies, and learning objectives of the course.
b. Recognize and respond to different student learning styles and needs.
c. Develop and use supplementary learning materials and resources.
d. Maintain student attendance records, grades, and other required records.
- Adhere to the ethical standards of the college, the State of Michigan, the Higher Learning Commission, FERPA and other education regulations.
- Provide for a safe and productive learning environment.
- Communicate with students, colleagues, and other stakeholders in a professional manner through the use of telephone, email, fax, mail, and/or face-to-face communication.
- Participate in professional activities such as, but not limited to, simulation, curriculum planning, syllabus writing, and outcome assessment.
- Maintain expertise in area of responsibility and performance reflects scholarship and evidence based teaching and clinical practices.
