Job Summary
Under general supervision, the Administrative Assistant provides support to ensure efficient operation of an office, department or unit. This position supports managers and employees through a variety of tasks related to organization and communication. The Administrative Assistant communicates via phone and email ensuring that all duties are completed accurately and delivered with high quality and in a timely manner.

Responsibilities
  • Perform related duties as assigned to support the mission of the University
  • Supervise student workers
  • Oversee efficient running of front desk and scheduling of shared spaces
  • Reconcile P-Card statement
  • Answer and direct phone calls
  • Organize and schedule meetings and appointments
  • Maintain contact lists
  • Produce and distribute correspondence memos, letters, faxes and forms
  • Assist in the preparation of regularly scheduled reports
  • Develop and maintain a filing system
  • Manage inventory of assets and supplies, sourcing for suppliers (vendors) and submit invoices
  • Order office supplies

Required Qualifications
Educational Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent

Required Experience
  • Three or more years of related work experience

Preferred Qualifications
Preferred Educational Qualifications
  • Associate Degree

Preferred Experience
  • Experience working in Higher Education

Proposed Salary
$30,900
