Graphic Design Lecturer/Site Coordinator

The Art Department in the Fulton School of Liberal Arts at Salisbury University is accepting applications for the position of Graphic Design Lecturer/Site Coordinator at the Universities at Shady Grove (USG). USG is a satellite campus serving the entire University of Maryland system. This is a 12-month non-tenure track position.

Area of Specialization: Graphic Design

Primary Job Duties: Teach eight (8) credits per semester. Supervise support staff and student workers. Collaborate with the recruiting coordinator and program chair to recruit qualified students. Provide day-to-day administrative oversight. Serve as a contact for potential Graphic Design students. Serve as an academic advisor for students enrolled at USG. Coordinate internships and develop positive relationships with community partners.

Minimum Qualifications: Master of Fine Arts (MFA) in Graphic Design or related field. Teaching experience at the college or university level.

Preferred Qualifications: Experience teaching online/distance courses with current best practices. Professional Graphic Design experience. Knowledge of design history and contemporary issues in design. Proficiency in technologies relevant to graphic design and digital media. Leadership and/or administrative experience. The ability to teach business skills for creative professionals.
