ODUOnline is seeking candidates for a Training and Assessment
Coordinator (full-time, 12 month) position. This position will work
with the Director of Training and Assessment to plan training
needs, develop training plans, and establish a training schedule on
relevant university and departmental policies and procedures. Other
duties include: train distance learning staff in various functional
areas on technology solutions, new programs and processes; conduct
compliance audits and quality assurance assessments on practices
and operations to ensure staff understand and follow the policies,
standards, and procedures provided them; research, monitor and
analyze University and partnership policies and procedures to
ensure training documentation reflects the latest relevant
information; serve as the advisor and student coach for current
distance learning students in assigned programs as needed.
Required Education: Master’s degree in business,
higher education, or similar area OR a bachelor’s degree, in the
same fields of study, with equivalent related experience to equate
to a master’s degree.
Required Qualifications: Considerable experience
working in a higher education setting. Some experience working with
a distributed staff in an organized and consistent manner. Some
experience teaching or training. Some experience with distance
learning/online learning. Considerable knowledge of the prospective
student experience, the admissions process, course enrollment
process, and advising process. An understanding of the different
types non-traditional students, their needs and expectations.
Strong attention to detail. Ability to communicate effectively both
in written and oral formats. Ability to work independently and to
be self-directed. Ability to work in a team and to collaborate with
a variety of staff at various levels. Ability to manage multiple
projects at one time. Demonstrated ability to work in a team
environment to accomplish individual goals and contribute to team
goals. Excellent problem solving and critical thinking skills.
Technical proficiency with computers, customer relationship
management systems, and student information systems.
Preferred Qualifications: Some consultative sales
experience. Some experience supporting students in online
education.
