Purdue University's Department of Computer and Information Technology (CIT) invites applications for a Tenure Track Faculty position, at the rank of Assistant Professor for the West Lafayette campus beginning in August 2021. We are seeking to attract outstanding candidates with expertise in full-stack software engineering, web programing, HCI with an emphasis on technical aspects including user interface development, or related areas.

All candidates must have an earned PhD Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or a related field by the start of employment. The selected candidate will be expected to develop an active research program in these areas as well as to participate in both undergraduate and graduate course delivery and development in related topics. Responsibilities also include engagement with industry, the community, and colleagues within and outside the computing discipline.

CIT is one of six units in the Purdue Polytechnic Institute at Purdue University. The department is a world-renowned public land grant institution and a research-intensive department focused on applied research to address real-world problems. We offer a robust program with 34 faculty at the West Lafayette campus and 6 faculty at the Polytechnic-Statewide locations. We currently offer the BS and MS in Computer and Information Technology, and participate in the Polytechnic Institute PhD program.
