Senior Associate Director, Gift Planning

Dartmouth College in Hanover, New Hampshire is seeking an accomplished fundraising professional to join its Gift Planning team.

Reporting to the Executive Director of Gift Planning, the Senior Associate Director will serve as a charitable gift planning advisor to the Dartmouth community, including donors, prospective donors and Development staff. This position will build upon the Gift Planning program's solid foundation and will work with alumni, trustees, and other members of the Dartmouth family to increase the volume of outright gifts, bequests, life income gifts, and other forms of estate planned giving.

The successful candidate will have a bachelor's degree and seven years of experience in planned giving, law, development, financial services, or the equivalent (may include both professional experience and relevant advanced education). Advanced degree in a related field (business administration, tax, or law) or rigorous professional designation (CPA, CFA, securities license) is preferred. Strong interest in developing technical expertise in tax, investment, and legal aspects of charitable giving; superlative written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated presentation abilities; excellent negotiation and interpersonal skills; ability to work independently and as part of a team, strong project management skills and organizational abilities, and demonstrated analytical and strategic thinking capabilities. Knowledge of PG Calc planned gift software preferred.
