Under general supervision provides outreach and recruitment activities at local high schools and colleges in the Houston metro area with the intent to assist students in completing the application process to Texas Southern University. Oversees prospective students and applicants to ensure they are aware of the educational programs and processes at TSU . Handles follow-ups on the completion of Electronic Tell Me More Cards ( ETMM ), applications, test scores, transcripts, evaluations, registration, and payments.
Essential Duties Summary
• Establishes relationships to outreach sites to build rapport with location representatives.
• Develops and creates presentations to various groups to solicit Electronic Tell Me More ( ETMM ) Cards.
• Provides university information to prospective students.
• Makes appropriate referrals to colleges and schools.
• Conducts follow-up with prospective students.
• Examines test scores, transcripts and documents for evaluation.
• Completes transcript evaluations as needed.
• Conducts campus tours and information sessions on and off-campus.
• Collects and analyzes outreach data; prepares daily and weekly status reports of all activities, and maintains records and statistical information.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Hiring Range $38,022.00 - $45,626.00 Education
Bachelor’s degree or higher.
Required Licensing/Certification
Valid Texas Driver’s License.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Knowledge of:
• Policies, procedures, and practices.
• Banner and other job-related software systems.
• Microsoft Office Professional or similar applications.
Skill in:
• Problem-solving and decision-making.
• Multitasking and time management.
• Planning activities.
• Both verbal and written communication.
Ability to:
• Prepare detailed reports.
• Work independently.
• Communicate effectively.
Work Experience
One (1) to three (3) years of experience.
Working/Environmental Conditions
Limited standing and/or walking.
Handling light weight objects.
Using or carrying equipment.
Stoop, bend or lift.
May require routine and overnight travel.
May require working evenings/weekends.
