One-Year Visiting Lecturer Position in Japanese

The Department of Asian Studies at Williams College invites applications for a full-time one-year (leave replacement) visiting position in Japanese language instruction for the 2021-22 academic year. Successful candidates will teach four upper level Japanese language courses over two semesters (2-2) and oversee the first-year language sustaining program during the January Winter Study term.

Qualifications

Minimum requirements include native or near-native proficiency in Japanese; a graduate degree, Ph.D. or ABD preferred, in Japanese, linguistics, literature, cultural studies or any related field; strong teaching experience at the college level; and ability to teach all levels of language courses in close coordination with departmental colleagues.
