Position Summary:

This position supports Wisconsin State Laboratory of Hygiene (WSLH) faculty and staff by assisting them with the administrative activities surround sponsored research and contracted services.
This position works under general supervision of Financial Manager in Account Receivable Department and collaborate with CFO and WSLH administrators to support sponsored research through pre-award and post-award activities for all federal and non-federal grants and contracts including all sub award and sub contracts.
This position requires the ability to maintain outstanding communication and interaction with the Office of Research and Sponsored Programs (RSP), as well as with the other various schools and colleges.
Maintain a high level of accurate information and a professional image, and an understanding WSLH various Laboratory Systems, Grant and Contract Management Cycle, and Billing Process. Take positive action in the changing environment to meet growing responsibilities. Contribute to the maintenance of WSLH Billing system. Demonstrate exceptional customer service by establishing and maintaining effective professional relationships with managers, supervisors, co-workers and all customers. Use effective team skills to contribute to the efficient operation of the work unit and the organization. Provide constructive feedback for the purpose of continuous improvement.

Requires a strong working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Procedures and Generally Accepted Auditing Standards in addition to college, university, UW Trust and UW Foundation operating procedures and policies.
