Vacancy Number: S-00684 Position Title: Working Warhawk III - Residence Life Coordinator Classification Title: Department: Housing and Residence Life Employment Type: Part-Time Duties and Responsibilities:

Establish, advertise, and uphold a minimum of 20 office hours per week, while understanding that additional hours will likely be required with additional compensation.
Serve as direct supervisor to 7-12 Resident Assistants.
Perform emergency response on-call duties and responsibilities rotations as determined and agreed upon among all RLCs and Associate Director.
Assist with recruitment/selection and training of student staff members.
Develop and maintain Resident Assistant staff desk hour/on-call schedules.
Serve as a resource for student staff and residents, while creating initiatives to enhance the development of positive and strong community in the residence hall.
Assist in the responsibility of day-to-day administrative operation of the residence hall.
Assist in the check-in/check-out process during the opening and closing of the residence halls at the beginning and the end of the academic semesters as well as the holiday or vacation periods.
Maintain an accurate log of anticipated and completed programs planned and presented by the resident assistant staff.
Work with the Senior Program Associate to monitor payroll-related functions and complete payroll-related functions associated with staff.
Monitor and report the day-to-day custodial and maintenance functions for the building area.
Assist in developing community policies and procedures.
Evaluate issues and make referrals to the Area Coordinator as necessary.
Attend regularly scheduled staff meetings and all training periods.
Consistently enforce rules, regulations, and policies as prescribed by Auburn University at Montgomery and the Department of Housing and Residence Life.
Serve as lead staff for conference and guest housing.
Support the Residential Education Coordinator in conducting disciplinary proceedings or hearings arising out of student violations of university and/or Housing and Residence Life community standards.
Support the Residential Education Coordinator in the advising of the Residence Hall Association and Peer Review Board.
Maintain an accurate log of anticipated and completed programs planned and presented by the resident assistant staff.
Serve on Housing Committees.
Perform other related duties as assigned by the Department of Housing and Residence Life.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Bachelor’s degree
Approved to work in the United States
Enrolled as a graduate student by employment start date
3.0 GPA if current AUM graduate student, which must be maintained throughout graduate assistantship
Must live on-campus housing

Minimum Qualifications:

Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with diverse students and staff
Strong administrative skills
Desire to serve and represent the university
Strongly Preferred: Past Housing and Residence Life experience
Demonstrate evidence of leadership, management skills, and strong administrative skills
Crisis response experience
Program/event planning experience
Student conduct experience
Student group advising experience
Driver’s license and ability to comfortably operate a vehicle
