Job Summary

Two Positions Available!

The individuals selected for these positions will perform basic level technical research tasks in agronomy, horticulture, livestock care, and farm facility repair maintenance at the Wiregrass Research and Extension Center located in Headland, AL.

Essential Functions

Essential functions include but are not limited to the following: Collect data including plot weights, observations, and various other measurements; assist in layout of research plots, planting, fertilizing, spraying, harvesting, and tagging of research plots; assist in cattle feeding, maintenance, and weighing; assist in supervising part-time employees; and perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Requirements for Additional Job Levels

- Level II requires a high school diploma or equivalent and one year of relevant experience in farming practices.
Salary Range: $20,300 – $33,800

- Level III requires a high school diploma or equivalent and four years of relevant experience in farming practices.
Salary Range: $22,300 – $37,200
