West Virginia University School of Nursing: Potomac State Campus invites applications for a Full-Time Instructor, Non-Tenure, Clinical Education Track, Nine-month Position. This position will report to the WVU School of Nursing: Potomac State Department Chairperson. The selected applicant will begin his/her contract starting fall 2021.

Responsibilities include:

  • Teaching in classroom, small-group, clinical, skills lab, and simulation settings;
  • Organizing and supervising students in fundamentals clinical rotations;
  • Assisting new students in the transition to the nursing major; and
  • Attending faculty and other School of Nursing meetings/events.


Qualifications :

Requirements include:

  • Master’s degree in nursing (MSN);
  • Two (2) years of professional nursing practice experience, with evidence of current experience in nursing practice sufficient to demonstrate professional competence;
  • Unencumbered West Virginia RN License by position start date;
  • Interview; and
  • Background check.


Preferred experience:

  • Practice experience in nursing home or hospital setting; and
  • Teaching experience in nursing.
