Instructor of Landscape Architecture
Additional Information
The Department of Landscape Architecture seeks an instructor for Landscape Architecture courses to teach at inter-disciplinary, undergraduate professional program levels.
The capacity to teach in one or more of the following areas including studio: plant identification, construction sequence, sustainability, communication technologies, computer and digital technology, design process, land/site analysis, all phases of design, research and design methodologies, theory and history.

Description
Responsibilities: teach a broad range of courses in both professional programs, including studio, lectures, labs, fieldwork and seminars both in teams and individually.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture from an accredited program or terminal degree in an allied profession by date of employment; demonstrated capability to teach in design studio; a developed expertise/capacity to teach in at least two of the following support areas of expertise: plant identification, site engineering/construction technologies; design communications (digital and hand-drawn techniques); digital applications, including GIS ; research and design methodologies; history and design theory; and design implementation; the ability to engage in the scholarship of the discipline and the profession.
Authorization to work in the US
Candidates for searches must have current authorization to be employed in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications
Seven recent years of experience in Landscape Architecture or related practice; Ph.D. in Landscape Architecture or related discipline with an established design practice/research agenda; expertise in Landscape Ecology and advanced implementation technology; exemplary studio teaching experience.
