SEARCH FOR THE VICE PRESIDENT FOR ACADEMIC AFFAIRS

D'Youville—a growing, diverse urban campus community committed to instilling character in students so that they become change agents, doing well for themselves and their communities by doing good—invites nominations, inquiries, and applications for the position of Vice President for Academic Affairs (VPAA). A member of the President's Council, the VPAA reports directly to President Lorrie Clemo. Featuring degrees in healthcare, business, education, and the liberal arts and sciences, D'Youville offers more than 50 majors in undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral studies including advanced certificates and accelerated learning programs. The next VPAA is expected to start around July 1, 2021.

Located on the vibrant West Side of Buffalo, NY, D'Youville is a highly regarded private, coeducational institution of approximately approximately 2,800 students. Founded in 1908, D'Youville was the first college in Western New York to offer baccalaureate degree programs for women. Honoring its Catholic heritage and longstanding commitment to service, the university welcomes students from every culture, faith, and background. Coeducational since 1971, the institution strives to expand opportunity to diverse learners, including adults, first generation, low income, and other students historically underrepresented in higher education. D'Youville seeks a VPAA who understands this changing landscape in higher education, and who can provide compelling leadership for inclusive excellence while helping grow on-campus and online enrollment and support on-time degree completion.

D'Youville's next VPAA will be an essential partner in leading next steps in the evolution of a progressive, forward-looking institution that strives to reimagine what it does for today's generation of students. Working collaboratively with the members of the President's Council to create a holistic university experience that transcends the classroom, the VPAA will bring an inclusive vision for the liberal arts and health sciences disciplines to strengthen collaboration across the campus and leverage the shared commitment to innovation in service to students and community.
