The Warrior Community seeks a full
time faculty member for the College of Engineering. This is a
tenure track 9-month position and will be responsible for teaching
and developing courses with primary teaching emphasis in
mathematics. The position includes teaching four courses per
semester, advising students, and collaborating with colleagues
to achieve the Institution’s Strategic Plan. Additional
duties include designing and revising program curricula,
maintaining academic records of courses to assist in specialized
accreditation (e.g. ABET), delivering effective courses to meet
learning outcomes, holding office hours, fulfilling service and
professional development requirements, advising and fostering
relationships with students, and actively participating in student
recruitment and retention.
The successful candidate will work
closely with other programs to teach courses in pre-calculus,
calculus, linear algebra, differential equations, probability, and
statistics and other courses as needed in the future. This is
a tenure-track, 9-month position teaching in face-to-face and
online course delivery. This faculty position reports to the
Dean of the College of Engineering within the School of Computer
Sciences.
The preferred faculty member will hold
an earned doctorate in Mathematics or a closely related field.
College-level teaching experience is required. Experience teaching
mathematics is preferred. Candidates with a Master’s degree in
Mathematics or a closely related field and with College-level
teaching experience will be considered. Experience with a Learning
Management System and ability to use technology effectively is
required. Faculty rank will be commensurate with academic
credentials and experience.
