East Tennessee State University (ETSU) Department of Pediatrics and Medical Education Assistance Corporation (MEAC), in conjunction with the Johnston Memorial Hospital, Abingdon, VA seek a qualified Pediatric Hospitalist to join a dynamic team of two full-time hospitalists who are active in our quality improvement projects and education. The appointment is part-time at 0.50 FTE. The candidate must be Board Eligible/Board Certified in Pediatrics at time of hire. Experience should include demonstrated skill in inpatient pediatrics, newborn nursery and medical education. Experience in quality improvement is a plus.

 

Faculty rank will be commensurate with experience and qualifications. The position will be an ETSU non-tenure, clinical track faculty appointment (contingent on MEAC funding). Responsibilities include providing services at Johnston Memorial Hospital. Johnston Memorial Hospital, is a regional hospital in SW Virginia in the Ballad Healthcare network, which has an active obstetric service, a busy general emergency room and a small pediatric ward.
