Intake Assessment and Transition Specialist

This position will provide intentional case management by identifying career or college goals of Adult Education students and is responsible for oversight of the Orientation team of the assessment of learners.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred; Adult Education teaching experience required, and counseling experience preferred. Previous experience administering standardized tests and experience delivering professional development/training preferred.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Excellent interpersonal and verbal skills; strong analytical skills and knowledge of assessment and connection with student learning outcomes based on research in adult learning and development; knowledge of all Literacy, Adult and Community Education System (LACES) software and local program’s Intake and Update forms; ability to maintain confidentiality; ability to develop and implement effective processes and programs; ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with instructional staff, students, and others of diverse backgrounds; proficiency in computer applications such as Word, Excel, and Access; ability to work independently and accurately under pressure, and make decisions in accordance with established policies and procedures.
