Position Summary:

The LPO Student Services Coordinator will work with the Wisconsin Intensive Summer Language Institutes (WISLI) (50%) and the Regional Flagship Languages Initiative (RFLI) (50%). The LPO Student Services Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating all activities related to the preparation for and delivery of the Arabic Persian and Turkish Language Institute (APTLI) program and will be cross-trained to help coordinate other WISLI programs along with other WISLI staff. They will also assist in the execution of the RFLI program, ensuring that RFLI student needs are met throughout all stages of the RFLI program, working alongside RFLI staff and partners of the IFLI Indonesian language program, SAFLI Hindi-Urdu language program, and TURFLI Turkish language program. The LPO Student Services Coordinator will be expected to perform duties across the WISLI and RFLI programs, while maintaining the flexibility to be able to adapt to remote, in-person, or other program delivery.

This position will involve assisting with and being present for after-hours and weekend activities.

Degree and Area of Specialization:

Bachelor's degree required. Interest and speaking ability in one or more of the RFLI (Hindi, Indonesian, Turkish, Urdu) or APTLI (Arabic, Persian, Turkish) languages preferred; area and regional knowledge of one of the following countries preferred: Azerbaijan, India, Indonesia, and/or Turkey. Experience with study abroad program administration is desirable.

Minimum Years and Type of Relevant Work Experience:

Excellent communication skills working with a variety of stakeholders, agencies, and partners
Ability to work as a member of a team, while also self-motivated to independently complete individual duties and meet deadlines
Ability to maintain flexibility with shifting tasks, priorities, and deadlines
Friendly and open demeanor
Interest and/or experience in international education, world languages and cultures, or similar topics strongly preferred.

Additional Information:

This position is for 11 months, however, there is a possibility of a one year renewal if further funding is received.
