We are seeking a part-time research coordinator to help manage a new research study being conducted by a multidisciplinary team at VCU from the Department of Psychology in the College of Humanities and Sciences as well as the School of Nursing and the School of Medicine (OB/Gyn and Pharm-Tox).

The Project Coordinator will be responsible for conduct of participant recruitment, data collection and data management, ordering and monitoring of study supplies, and other study tasks. The individual will also be responsible for scheduling students and volunteers for patient recruitment and both monitor and coordinate their data collection and data base management activities. The individual in this position will also communicate with project faculty about the study and will liaison with postpartum unit staff about the project.

This is an opportunity for a motivated, organized, and meticulous candidate to obtain hands-on experience coordinating and conducting clinical research with an interdisciplinary team whose members have expertise in substance use/abuse, women’s health and translational science.

Required Qualifications

-Master’s degree in psychology, epidemiology, or a related field
-Experience with clerical data entry and data management
-Experience with Microsoft Office suite, Google Drive, and survey software (e.g., REDCap, Qualtrics, etc.)
-Excellent written and oral communication skills
-Demonstrated ability to multitask
-Ability to work on-site and remotely

Preferred Qualifications

-Experience with data analysis
-Prior supervisory experience
