Assistant Professor of Special Education

The University of Alaska Southeast’s Alaska College of Education invites applications for a full-time tenure-track Assistant Professor in Special Education to complement existing expertise and contribute to our program.

The faculty welcome candidates from a variety of specialties in the field of special education (e.g., Autism, transition, early childhood, academic intervention, educational psychology, diagnostics, etc...). This position will begin with the 2021/2022 academic year. Our Special Education program prepares teachers for both initial licensure and advanced degrees (M.Ed.).

We seek a faculty member with demonstrated potential for creative and effective teaching in a virtual environment as well as for clinical supervision. The faculty member should have a strong track record of teaching and working with those having diverse ethnic, cultural, and linguistic backgrounds.
