The School of Business at The University of North Carolina at Pembroke invites applications for a full-time, tenure track faculty position in Accounting. The position will be available in Fall, 2021.

Rank is open and depends on the qualifications and achievements of the candidate. Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Responsibilities include: teach undergraduate and graduate accounting courses; engage in appropriate research and publication to maintain scholarly currency and AACSB scholarly academic (SA) designation; provide academic advising; contribute to curriculum development; serve on various committees, and assume other instructional and service-related duties as assigned. Teaching responsibilities typically will span at least two accounting sub-disciplines. Course assignments may be during the daytime or evenings, and may include off-campus locations and online delivery. Currently, most courses are on campus and face-to-face delivery.

Proven and documented success in undergraduate and graduate teaching is highly desirable. Senior candidates must demonstrate a strong record of scholarly activities as documented by recently published articles in peer reviewed academic journals.

Minimum Training and Experience Requirements:  An earned Ph.D. in Accounting or Doctor of Business Administration (with a CPA) is required. Earned Ph.D. or DBA earned from an AACSB accredited university is preferred.
