Job Description



PURPOSE AND SCOPE :

The PT Technician III, Theater performs technical functions at a higher level of complexity. Diagnoses, solves problems, and independently repairs, installs, and builds equipment and systems .

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS :

Responsible for woodworking, construction, and painting of sets/props for productions

Ri gs and hangs lights and scenery

Responsible for other reasona ble, related duties as assigned

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

• Ability to lift 50 pounds
• Ability to work at great heights
• Ability to reach, stand, and stoop
• Ability to follow safety precautions at all times
• Skilled in the use of power tools

PHYSICAL ABILITIES:

The work is sedentary. Typically, the employee sits comfortably to do the work. However, there may be some walking; standing; bending; carrying of light items, such as papers, books, or small parts; or driving an automobile. No special physical demands are required to perform the work.

WORK SCHEDULE AND CONDITIONS:

• Equipment used includes, general carpentry equipment
• Interface with internal and external contacts as needed to carry out the functions of the position
• Work is performed inside and outside with some exposure to power tools and paint fumes
• May require some weekends

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent and at least 1 year of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Experience using power tools
• Carpentry experience

Salary

Hourly Pay Rate is $14.09 .
