Cardiology Division Chief at the WVU Heart & Vascular Institute

The West Virginia University Heart and Vascular Institute (HVI) are seeking national applicants for the position of Chief, Division of Cardiology, Department of Medicine, WVU Heart and Vascular Institute, West Virginia University. This leader will join the rapidly expanding HVI and help guide a progressive and robust Division of imagers, interventionalists, electrophysiologists and clinicians on a state-wide mission of innovation to elevate access of cardiovascular services to all citizens of West Virginia and surrounding regions.

 

The WVU Heart and Vascular Institute and Service Line provides care across a wide geographic area. The HVI has a clinical presence in WV, PA, OH, MD, and VA, with its flagship located in a new 10-story, $300 million dollar tower in Morgantown, WV. This is the academic home to WVU’s efforts in leading cardiovascular quality and research, clinical education, outreach and statewide program development. The WVU HVI Division of Cardiology provides a full spectrum of quaternary services from advanced heart failure and EP services to transcatheter LAA occlusion, TAVR and TMVR, with participation in several clinical trials, including early feasibility investigation.

 

We seek applicants who hold an MD, MD/PhD or DO degree (foreign educational equivalent accepted) with board certification or equivalent in cardiovascular disease, interventional cardiology, or electrophysiology. Candidates should be at an Associate Professor rank or higher and be eligible to obtain an unrestricted West Virginia medical license at the time of employment.
