The College of Engineering at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Prescott, Arizona, invites applications for tenure track positions in our Aerospace Engineering Department at the Associate Professor level. Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University’s Prescott, Arizona campus is respected worldwide for cutting-edge instruction and training for tomorrow’s aviation, aerospace, security and intelligence leaders. Prescott is a mile-high city and its climate reflects seasonable weather excellent for flying. Daytime averages are 80°F in the summer and 45°F in the winter. At 5,000 ft. above sea level, it boasts a mild climate, clean air, pristine wilderness areas, and nearby national forests. The university is a small, private, residential university in the mountains of Arizona with approximately 3,500 students. Staff/faculty/student interaction is highly valued and is a central theme of our campus. It is located 100 miles north of Phoenix and 120 miles south of the Grand Canyon.

The Department is interested in candidates in all areas that will enhance our college strengths and growth. The Department seeks candidates with strong interests in engineering education, a commitment to excellence in teaching and learning, an ability to perform applied research, as well as dedication to service and collegiality. Successful candidates will be expected to teach undergraduate courses and laboratory experiments, to collaborate with students on independent research and to supervise student projects.

The College of Engineering is focused on undergraduate teaching excellence and has a strong emphasis on design and project-based learning. The faculty of the Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University College of Engineering are housed in a modern academic complex, which is adjacent to wind tunnel and propulsion laboratories and facilities. The College of Engineering faculty also make extensive use of the Aerospace Experimentation and Fabrication (AXFAB) laboratory complex, which features a modern machine shop, a space system laboratory, structures and material laboratories. A 52,000 square foot STEM Building opened in August 2017 featuring state-of-the-art engineering and science laboratories, as well as the Raisbeck Engineering Design Studio, and the Jim & Linda Lee Planetarium, for both student and faculty use. Qualifications

An earned doctorate in Aerospace Engineering or similar degree along with related experience is highly desired; however, candidates with a Master's Degree and significant industry experience are strongly encouraged to apply.
