JOB SUMMARY:

The position is for one year with the potential to be renewed for a second year. Scope of job includes conducting research related to different aspects of psychotherapy (including both outcome and process research) under the direction of Dr. Jacques Barber at Adelphi University.

This position reports to: Jacques P. Barber, Dean

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:

1. Data analysis, manuscript preparation, grant writing, ongoing collaborative research, supervising graduate and undergraduate students.
2. Presentation to scientific societies and any other assignment made by the Dean.
3. Potential involvement in teaching.

REQUIREMENTS:

1. Excellent writing and research skills.
2. Interest and publications in psychotherapy research, in psychodynamic thinking and in other psychotherapy systems.
3. Strong quantitative skills.
4. Additional experience/interest in longitudinal statistical analysis and SEM are a plus.

EDUCATIONAL/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

1. Doctoral degree plus clinical experience consistent with recent PhD degree.
