NYU Abu Dhabi
The Division
of Arts and Humanities at NYU Abu
Dhabi invites applications for tenure-track open-rank faculty
positions within its Philosophy program.
Available openings are at the Assistant, Associate, and Full
Professor rank (tenure-track open rank) appointment
in Philosophy. Applicants who hold a Ph.D. should demonstrate

NYUAD values diversity, inclusion, belonging, and equity; such
principles are fundamental to the university's commitment to
excellence. Our faculty are the engines that sustain our
inclusive environment; NYUAD students come from more than 115
countries, with no single one nationality exceeding more than 15
percent of the total student population. Likewise, our faculty are
highly diverse and community-minded: our modern campus is home to
over 320 faculty who represent more than 45 different
nationalities, all of whom bring a global perspective to their
classrooms and research projects. Research is advanced by over 400
highly qualified research staff, who are likewise drawn from all
over the world.
The NYUAD Philosophy Program recognizes that philosophy has become
a fully global discipline, and its curriculum strives to integrate
the study of contemporary international philosophy with an
understanding of philosophy’s rich multicultural history. The
teaching load is three undergraduate courses per year plus capstone
thesis advising. These courses may include introductory and
advanced Philosophy electives, as well as courses in NYUAD’s
distinctive Core Curriculum. (All instruction is in English.)
