General Summary/Purpose

This role will work on the Teacher Development Partnership team under the direction of an Assistant Director

Specific Duties & Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute timeline for strategies related to the vision for the team:
  • Manage organization and dissemination of materials including, but not limited to, training documents, program libraries and electronic toolkits
  • Analyze program data and update Assistant Directors and Director on trends, areas of concern.
  • Create and maintain accurate and updated information systems related to Teach For America and TNTP partners.
  • Maintain accurate and updated information on School of Education website and internal sites for current candidates and prospective applicants
  • Draft and disseminate marketing information to applicants and TFA & TNTP staff
  • Assist with management of program processes
  • Implement strategies such as developing persuasive communications, streamlining processes for adjunct instructors, candidate coaches, and academic advisors.
  • Support the team with planning and follow-up for partners
  • Participate in regular check ins with program team and managers
  • Other duties as assigned
    Level of Independent Decision Making
  • Working collaboratively with JHU-TFA/TNTP Master’s Program Team.
  • Communication with internal and external participants related to partnership development for the JHU-TFA/TNTP National Master’s program.
    Internal and External Contacts
  • Internal contacts include all JHU-TFA/TNTP National Master’s program staff, personnel, students, and JHU departments as required.
  • External contacts include TFA and TNTP staff and applicants.


    Minimum Qualifications(Required)
  • Bachelor’s degree
    Five (5)years related experience

* JHU Equivalency Formula:18 graduate degree credits may substitute for one year of experience..For jobs where equivalency is permitted, up to two years of non-related college course work may be applied towards the total minimum education/experience required for the respective job. *

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree.
  • Minimum 5 years working in education.
  • Minimum 12 months of experience supporting students form a variety of backgrounds, and with diverse academic interests and abilities.
  • Minimum 12 months of professional experience in teacher preparation and development
  • Experience in creating and maintaining professional networks
  • Some experience in developing technology for advising uses including, but not limited to, Facebook, YouTube, podcasts, Twitter, blogs, and LinkedIn.
  • Knowledge of Teach For America and/or TNTP programming

The pre-employment physical for positions in clinical areas, laboratories, working with research subjects, or involving community contact requires documentation of immune status against Rubella (German measles), Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Varicella (chickenpox), Hepatitis B and documentation of having received the Tdap (Tetanus, diphtheria, pertussis) vaccination. This may include documentation of having two (2) MMR vaccines; two (2) Varicella vaccines; or antibody status to these diseases from laboratory testing. Blood tests for immunities to these diseases are ordinarily included in the pre-employment physical exam except for those employees who provide results of blood tests or immunization documentation from their own health care providers. Any vaccinations required for these diseases will be given at no cost in our Occupational Health office.
