SUPERVISION
Supervise 1-2 Assistant Residence Hall Director (graduate students),
7-14 Resident Assistants, 1 Administrative Assistant, and 10-15 desk
and night staff members
ENGAGEMENT & INVOLVEMENT
Create a community development plan, serve on departmental
committees, teach a for credit leadership course and serve as the advisor
to hall council and other residence life student organizations
LIVING & LEARNING COMMUNITIES
Support living-learning programs and services and partner with faculty
members and other academic partners
CRISIS MANAGEMENT
Work to ensure the safety and well-being of students and facilities
by serving as part of the on-call duty rotation for residence halls for a
particular area of campus.

Position Function

Minimum Education
Master’s degree from an accredited college or university by September 1, 2021.

Residence hall administration experience.

Advise, counsel, and establish rapport with students to assist them in adjusting to residence hall living in particular and college life in general.

Select, train, advise and supervise six to eight Resident Assistants; train, advise and supervise Assistant Residence Hall Director.

Exercise general supervision over main hall desk operation for two halls; coordinate student related programs for two residence hall desk operations in two halls.
