COE Program Initiatives Manager - (STA006827)



Manages program initiatives within the College of Education (COE) as they relate to the implementation of various on-going funded projects. Adheres to the scope of funded projects and program design from the perspective of Improvement Science. Supports project design goals utilizing knowledge of various technologies and managing diverse projects with a variety of timelines, deliverables and audiences.

  1. Manages projects to ensure that implementation and prescribed activities are carried out in accordance with specified objectives in the proposal documents.
  2. Provides individualized consultation to Principal Investigators to assist them with the administrative portions of the funded projects (i.e., timelines, deliverables, implementation, supervision of staff), students supported with the funding, and community organizations that benefit from the funding.
  3. Collaborates with Principal investigators, Instructors and Students enrolled in programs at various levels (e.g., undergraduate, graduate and certificate) in COE and community partners across organizations in Houston.
  4. Develops evidence-based course materials, assessments and written reports.
  5. Generates implementation manuals, output and outcome reports and online supports.
  6. Tracks progress of all projects, meets all requirements and prepares annual report components.
  7. Develops mechanisms and practices to track student feedback, experiences and accomplishments.
  8. Communicates important program information with all stakeholders about project updates, course/certificate information, workshop/training opportunities and project deadlines.
  9. Facilitates meetings with the Principle Investigator, project team, students and community stakeholders to discuss the projec's progress/updates, address ongoing issues, and, if applicable, co-create strategies to achieve the project's objectives.
  10. Performs other job-related duties as required.

Qualifications :

Bachelors and 3 years experience

Requires a thorough understanding of both theoretical and practical aspects of an analytical, technical or professional discipline; or the basic knowledge of more than one professional discipline. Knowledge of the discipline is normally obtained through a formal, directly job-related 4 year degree from a college or university or an equivalent in-depth specialized training program that is directly related to the type of work being performed.Requires a minimum of three (3) years of directly job-related experience.
