Position Summary:
The Virtual Quality Training Specialist will provide highly skilled professional service to meet the instructional design, development and delivery needs of the P&P Training Branch. Provide service in the areas of: a) quality assurance; b) documentation and resource creation; c) project support and maintenance; and d) supporting online course design. The Virtual Quality Training Specialist will report to the Associate Director, Training and Operations.


Minimum Education:
Bachelor’s Degree required; preference will be given to degrees in Social Work, Education, Communications and/or Instructional Technology or related field.
Master’s Degree preferred.


Minimum Experience:
Three years of related experience required.

Required Knowledge
Knowledge of adult learning theory and best practices for virtual instructional design
Superior critical thinking, problem-solving, and research skills
Thorough understanding of project management
Self-motivated to continue learning on advanced and/or updated technologies to support online learning and blended education
Knowledge of instructional design principles including ADA compliance and standards
Experience providing professional development
Skilled in using web and media based technologies tools to support blended and online learning
Knowledge of Learning Management Systems
Quick learner, specifically as it relates to computers and computer applications
Excellent presentation skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Ability to work in a fast paced technical environment with tight deadlines

This position is an EKU position, but housed under the UTC contract. The funding is in whole or part from federal, CHFS or other state funds and subject to renewal.

Special Instructions Summary:

Travel is required across all 120 counties of the commonwealth. Office location will depend upon the location of the candidate chosen.
