Full Time Science Instructor

Miles Community College is seeking a full time Science Instructor to teach in areas including: Chemistry, Biology, Microbiology, Anatomy and Physiology, and/or Geology courses. Strong interest in working in rural community college with student engagement focus and abilities to develop classroom curriculum, hybrid and on-line curriculum. 

This is a full-time, nine-month teaching appointment which is renewable annually based upon satisfactory job performance.  Initial placement on the salary schedule is dependent upon academic credentials and creditable work experience and will be within the range of $37,036 – $51,987.  Contract start date is Fall 2021.  Overload and summer teaching opportunities are sometimes available.  The college provides a competitive benefits package.

Qualifications: This position requires a Master’s degree in Science or related field.  Effective public and interpersonal communication skills and a commitment to the role of the community college are required.  Successful prior teaching experience is desired.  Preferred experience includes teaching experience at community college/university or K-12 institutions and experience in hybrid and online courses.
