The College of Education at Oregon State University invites applications for a full-time (1.00 FTE), 12-month, open rank tenure track Assistant/Associate/Full Professor position in Counseling. This position is in alignment with the College of Education’s Strategic Plan and Oregon State University’s commitment to student success.

This position focuses primarily on the training, supervision and mentoring of doctoral students in counselor education as they develop into competent researchers, teachers, advanced practitioners, supervisors, advocates, and leaders in the counseling profession. This position also includes responsibilities in the Master in Counseling program and in serving the College of Education, Oregon State University, and the counseling profession.

 

We seek individuals for this position who are conducting quality research in counseling or counselor education, have experience with research funding, are experienced school or mental health counselors, and are effective teachers, mentors, and supervisors. Experience with and enthusiasm for using distance technology for teaching and supervision and a distinguished record of postdoctoral research are desirable.

 

Successful candidates will have an established (candidates for Associate or Full) or promising (candidates for Assistant) record of success, including in teaching, service, and (externally-funded) research. The new faculty member will be expected to expand grant funding and a research agenda in related areas of Counselor Education.
