Job Description

Manage all aspects of the FAA Testing Center in accordance with FAA regulations (FAA Procedures Manual, FAA Order 8100.15, and Order 8080.6). Provide data support to Chairman of Flight Training, Flight Data and Certification Manager, Team Managers, Faculty, and Flight Department Director of Business. Administer and document results of over 3000 FAA Airman Knowledge Tests (AKT) annually. Coordinate with PSI regarding decision-making changes in operational procedures of the Testing Center. Implement new FAA authorized procedures and provide a smooth transition of Testing Center processes. Maintain high level of confidentially regarding applicant’s records.

Supervise an efficient FAA Testing Center from registering an applicant and monitoring the AKTs to printing the AKT Reports. Enforce accuracy and validity of all identifications and authorizations to test, required by FAA. Generate PSI vouchers to candidates that have paid and never taken an AKT exam and keep record of all vouchers issued. Reconcile the monthly PSI report of candidates and vouchers issued in order for ERAU to create an invoice for PSI. Troubleshoot testing station errors in accordance with PSI and/or ERAU IT. Follow up on the Exit Surveys when there is a dissatisfied report created by candidate. File an Incident Report when an unusual circumstance occurs during test sessions.

Proctor non-FAA exams and Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University (ERAU) Flight Instructor New Hire tests; grade New Hire tests and coordinate results to the Flight Department. Direct the hiring, scheduling, and training of all new FAA Certified Proctors to include one full-time FAA Testing Coordinator and up to seven part-time student assistants.

Provide statistical support to Flight Data and Certification Manager and Chairman of Flight Training. Distribute weekly ETA reports to Chief Flight Instructor, Team Managers, and support personnel. Organize and maintain class rosters with AKT grades for faculty each semester. Ensure daily updates of the ETA database reflects current AKT scores.

Miscellaneous Duties: Pass an annual Proctor Qualifying exam in order to remain an FAA Certified PSI Testing Center Administrator. Annual FAA Audit preparation: Ensure Testing Center procedures, staff, site, data, and documentation are in compliance with FAA regulations relative to FAA Order 8100.15 and Order 8080.6.

Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Must pass a five-year criminal background check.

Must pass the Annual Proctor Qualifying Test in order to become and remain an FAA Certified PSI Testing Center Administrator.

Must be proficient with Microsoft programs to include: Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook/email, and Internet.

Knowledge of FAA regulations (FAA Procedures Manual, FAA Order 8100.15, and Order 8080.6).

High level of personal communication and telephone skills.

Detail and customer service oriented.

Strong organizational skills.

Good moral character.
