Description

Columbia Basin College ('CBC' or the 'College') seeks to develop applicant pools for adjunct faculty to teach course offerings throughout the year. CBC offers rewarding opportunities for adjunct faculty to teach courses at both our Pasco and Richland campuses, campus extension locations, as well as online/remotely. Adjunct faculty typically provide instruction for traditional quarter-long courses by teaching 11-week courses (Fall, Winter, Spring) or 8-week courses (Summer), as well as hourly work and substitution as needed.

CBC accepts applications for adjunct faculty positions on a continuous basis, though it does not necessarily imply that there are immediate openings. Applicants who meet the required minimum qualifications and submit a complete application with all required components will become part of a standing pool which the College will draw on as scheduling needs dictate. Instruction may be during the day, afternoon, evening and/or weekend. The adjunct faculty appointment contains no guarantee of continued employment beyond the quarter course assignment or any assigned hourly or substitute work assignments. The hourly rate is determined based on the Instructional Mode (lecture, lab, non-instructional or other) as listed in the current Adjunct Salary Schedule .
Successful candidates must be flexible in their ability to achieve the instructional and general responsibilities of the course assignment, including the use of a broad range of learning resources and technologies. CBC encourages applications from faculty who have a passion for teaching, a commitment to student success and an understanding of the community college mission. Given the diversity of our student population, applications are encouraged from faculty candidates who can adapt teaching methods to a wide range of student backgrounds and interests.

Should you be selected for an interview, you will be contacted directly by the interested dean or lead, otherwise, your completed application will remain in the pool.
