Emory & Henry College’s Department of Education invites applications for the position of Visiting Professor of Education to begin on August 1, 2020. The successful candidate must demonstrate a strong interest in teaching in a liberal arts environment. Responsibilities in the Education Department will include, but are not limited to :

  • Teaching undergraduate and graduate courses within the Education Department and the CORE  curriculum

  • Coordinating Quality Assessment Systems (QAS) for departmental data collection

  • Supervising teacher preparation students in the field

  • Collaborating and working within the Education Department for the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP) and Virginia Department of Education purposes.

Qualifications:

Successful teaching, and ideally administration experience, in a PreK-12 public school settings are strongly preferred.  Qualifications for the position include an earned doctorate (Ph.D. or Ed.D). ABD will be considered.
