Emory & Henry College’s Department of Education invites applications for the position of Visiting Professor of Education to begin on August 1, 2020. The successful candidate must demonstrate a strong interest in teaching in a liberal arts environment. Responsibilities in the Education Department will include, but are not limited to :

Teaching undergraduate and graduate courses within the Education Department and the CORE curriculum

Coordinating Quality Assessment Systems (QAS) for departmental data collection

Supervising teacher preparation students in the field

Collaborating and working within the Education Department for the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP) and Virginia Department of Education purposes.
Qualifications:
Successful teaching, and ideally administration experience, in a PreK-12 public school settings are strongly preferred. Qualifications for the position include an earned doctorate (Ph.D. or Ed.D). ABD will be considered.
